Dog Biscuit Recipe: Eddy’s Cheesy Heart Treats

Last year our founder Eddy Horner posted a free bag of his handmade cheesy heart treats with each online order.

His dog biscuits went down well so well with customers that we thought we would let you guys in on Eddy’s secret recipe. 

Eddy’s Cheesy Heart Treats

180g plain flour
20g grated dried Italian cheese.
1 small whisked egg
1 teaspoon of vegetable/olive oil
Half a stock cube mixed with 70ml of hot water

1/ Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.

2/ Allow the water to cool before adding it to the dry ingredients with the egg.

3/ Mix all ingredients together. The mix will become stiff, and you should be able to bring it together like pastry dough. Add a small amount of water if it is too dry.

4/Turn dough on to a floured board or worktop and roll out to about half a centimetre thickness. 

5/ Use a small pastry cutter or cut them into small treat size shapes.

6/ Place on a lightly greased baking tray.

7/ Cook for 35 minutes at 150 degrees Celsius.

8/ This recipe made 80 treats.
